China is both a global power and a regional power. For
several decades now, China’s economy has been growing annually
at an amazing rate.
China has been Myanmar’s neighbour since time immemorial, the
history, culture and the destinies of our two country’s and
economies are closely linked.
China holds one fourth of the world’s population within its
boundaries alone, that does not include the Chinese communities
all over the world !!
Asia is one of the most economically dynamic regions in the
world, and China is at the centre of this economically dynamic
region.
Today, China is the economic power house in the region.
China is the world’s largest market.
Students from all over the world are studying in China today, do
you know that China is the 6th most popular destination in the
world for international students?
So shouldn’t you learn about this giant at your own door step??
Education ethics in China
Since ancient times China has treasured learning. China was
known to be the first civilization that held government exams
for recruiting scholars as government officials.. Keeping up
this good tradition of treasuring good education, today China's
universities also attach great importance not just to education
but also to good school spirit. What is a good school spirit? It
is embodied by hard work, self-control, strictness, diligence,
pioneering spirit, innovation and originality. In China major
Universities are a city within a city. All facilities needed by
students are available within the relevant University compound,
to ensure that the student- your child, can be totally immersed
in his/her studies. Isn't that what all Myanmar parents wish
for??
Why do we recommend studying in China?
The two founders of Pyinnya Shway O having lived, studied and
worked in China for 9 years and 11 years respectively, know that
major Institutes in China offer a very high class education , in
a stable and safe environment that promotes diligent studying
and correct thinking. The Chinese culture itself highly
treasures and emphasizes education.
In modern China, major Chinese Universities are a city within a
city. Everything a student needs can be conveniently found
within the University compound. Affordable , safe and clean
hostels, several canteens serving nutritious and healthy food,
sports grounds and open space for sports and exercise, clinics
and hospitals, post offices and grocery stores, everything for a
student daily need is accessible without leaving the University
compound. This enables the student to be immersed in his/her
studies without having to worry about meals, commuting from
school to home, health and space.
Parents want to visit their child during the school term?? No
problem ! Most Universities have Guest Houses open to
International/domestic travellers also within the University
compound or Guest Houses and Hotels in the close vicinity of the
Universities. This is also one of the factors we consider when
we recommend a school.
The founders have heard many stories about the plight of some
Myanmar students studying abroad. A bunch of student bundled up
in a small apartments, running from hostel to school, attending
tuition classes here and there.
Can a student really perform well when the surroundings are
not right? We dont think so.
Perhaps your child is studying abroad but probably not in a
prestigious Institutions. Is that what we want really for our
precious children? It was such stories that motivated the
founders to establish Pyinnya Shway O, to help students and
parents make the right connections and make the correct
decisions.
After all, education- the pot of gold is the best legacy parents
can give their child.
Let Pyinnya Shway O help you, to give your child a pot of
gold that they deserve, a pot of gold that they can use for
life.
Which school to choose?
There are lots of criterions to be reviewed while deciding
upon an educational Institution as an Institution of excellence.
Remember, not all that glitters in gold. Don't judge a school by
glossy brochures. What may look good in brochures and on the
internet, may not be the best choice for your education.
Some points to consider :-
- When was the University/ Institute established?
- How famous is it?
- Who is it accredited by?
- How large is the faculty and the level of quality of the
faculty.
- How many students are currently studying there?
- Are there strong research facilities?
- What are other major websites saying about your
University/Institute of choice ?
- Different people have different opinions, but, is your
University in the top 10 list?
- Or the top 20? Top 30 in its respective country?
- Don't forget to compare the lists.
- And of course, don't forget to read about the feedback
about the school.
